I, Frankenstein, focuses on the story of Adam, the monster created by Dr. Victor Frankenstein himself, after numerous films based on the iconic character of Frankenstein. Taking on his creator's surname, Adam is drawn into a war between two immortal clans in an ancient city. The extraordinary aspect of this terrifying battle in the dark and savage city is that both sides consist of immortal beings.

The original story, titled Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus, was written by Mary Shelley and published in 1818. Since its first adaptation to film in 1910, it has been brought to life on the big screen in various examples. Stuart Beattie, known for writing the scripts for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and Australian films, sits in the director's chair for this latest adaptation.
