"Labor Day", 13-year-old Henry Wheeler's story revolves around his struggle to deal with the challenges of adolescence while also trying to take care of his reclusive mother, Adele, who has distanced herself from society. During a shopping trip for school supplies, Henry and his mother encounter Frank Chambers, who is both intimidating and in need of help. As it turns out, Frank is a fugitive, but he manages to convince the mother and son to let him accompany them. The events that unfold over the long weekend of Labor Day will shape the rest of their lives.
